Leonardo Da Vinci's Ornithopter

A couple of days ago, a dutchman by the name of Mr Jarno Smeets earned a place in the history of aviation by becoming the first self propelled winged man.

As part of his project humanbirdwings.net, he was able to fly some 100 metres nos stop in what could open a new era for aviation.

The many times thought of dream by Leonardo da Vinci and many others has now become a reality.
