
Original Moulin Rouge 1952 Film Poster
The original Moulin Rouge was directed by John Huston in 1952, starring Zsa Zsa Gabor, José Ferrer and Suzanne Flow.
The film is set in 19th century Paris, and focuses on the subculture surrounding the bohemian scene of the time through the eyes of famous painter Toulousse Lautrec, and gravitating around the palace of Burlesque, the Moulin Rouge.
The screenplay is also by John Huston, based on the Moulin Rouge novel by Pierre La Mure.
